Dear Friends in Christ,
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gave us the Beatitudes, a roadmap to holiness and a vision for building the Kingdom of God here on Earth. “Blessed are the poor in spirit… Blessed are the merciful… Blessed are the peacemakers…” (Matthew 5). The Beatitudes remind us that the Lord builds His Church not through prestige or power, but through humility, holiness, and meekness. Each Beatitude reveals God’s promise of blessing and calls us to live as disciples.
Here in the Diocese of Dallas, God is doing something truly beautiful with these blessings. We are experiencing remarkable growth, with thriving parishes, schools, and ministries. With this growth, we have a simple vision: be bold in bringing people to Jesus Christ and to bring Jesus Christ to His people.
The Bishop’s Annual Appeal for Catholic Ministries directly supports this vision by strengthening ministries that serve the whole Diocese: evangelization and formation, Catholic education, outreach to the poor, vocations and seminarians, support for clergy, pastoral services that help families, and so much more. Through the appeal, we live the Beatitudes together and embrace our apostolic mission.

Estimados amigos en Cristo:
En el Sermón de la Montaña, Jesús nos dio las Bienaventuranzas, un camino hacia la santidad y una visión para construir el Reino de Dios aquí en la tierra. “Bienaventurados los pobres de espíritu… Bienaventurados los misericordiosos… Bienaventurados los que trabajan por la paz…” (Mateo 5). Las Bienaventuranzas nos recuerdan que el Señor edifica su Iglesia no por medio del prestigio o del poder, sino a través de la humildad, la santidad y la mansedumbre. Cada Bienaventuranza revela una promesa de bendición de Dios y nos llama a vivir como discípulos.
Aquí, en la Diócesis de Dallas, Dios está obrando algo verdaderamente hermoso a través de estas bendiciones. Estamos viviendo un crecimiento notable, con parroquias, escuelas y ministerios llenos de vida. Ante este crecimiento, tenemos una visión sencilla: ser audaces al llevar a las personas al encuentro con Jesucristo y llevar a Jesucristo al encuentro con su pueblo.
La Campaña Anual del Obispo para Ministerios Católicos apoya directamente esta visión al fortalecer los ministerios que sirven a toda la diócesis: la evangelización y la formación en la fe, la educación católica, el servicio a los pobres, las vocaciones y los seminaristas, el apoyo al clero, los servicios pastorales que acompañan a las familias, y mucho más. Por medio de esta campaña, vivimos juntos las Bienaventuranzas y abrazamos nuestra misión apostólica.
